We are starting this year’s Ljubljana Pride festival with a screening of a feature film by Peter Greenaway, “Eisenstein in Guanajuato”(2015). The film is a biographical drama that follows the life of a Russian director Sergei Eisenstein. It premiered at the 65th Berlinale International Film Festival.

The opening night will continue in a social manner – an LGBT+ “get-to-know-each-other” eveninG. For although we share decades of a mutual fight, a mutual culture, and mutual highs and lows, plus the fact that there are more and more of us, it often seems that we know each other less and less. And so Ljubljana Pride 2016 begins. It begins with a festival; it begins with art and a motion picture; it begins with discovery and uncovering.
