EXHIBITION \CULTURE OF HUMILIATION
Daniel Arzola
(Venezuela) will exhibit a series of his posters, “No soy tu chiste” or “I’m not a joke”, which is a global online campaign raising awareness on homophobic violence through art and design.

Antonij Karadzoski (Macedonia) was inspired by Arzola’s work and created his own series of drawings portraying a very personal struggle with bullying. Karadzoski will lead us through the exhibition with his story of survival and personal activism, which was, among other, the reason for his migration to Slovenia. He hopes to find here a more tolerant society. Does such a society exist?

DISCUSSION \ HOMOPHOBIC VIOLENCE TOWARDS YOUTH: IN SEARCH OF SAFETY NETWORKS

Jasna Magič (Researcher at Kumquat Consult and Broken Rainbow UK) and Simon Maljevac (president of Legebitra) will present their article, “Research for action: Challenging homophobia in Slovene secondary education” (Routledge, 2016). The presentation will serve as an introduction to a discussion on safety networks and questions on how to form them within the community.
