Pride connects // Documentary movie night
5. March od 19:00–21:00
To celebrate 2019’s International Women’s Day we invite you for a screening of the documentary “Feminists: What Were They Thinking?”.
This 2018 documentary takes a look back at the 1970s second wave of feminism, featuring interviews with women such as Jane Fonda, Gloria Steinem, Lily Tomlin and Judy Chicago, who, with the help of Cynthia MacAdams’ book of photographs “Feminist Portraits 1974-1977”, reflect on that time and how things have (or haven’t) changed since then.
Join us next Tuesday, 5th of March at 19:00 at Ljubljana Pride office, Dunajska 10.
With ‘PRIDE CONNECTS’, we strive to connect the local LGBTIQ+ youth, activists, and all those interested in the political side of Pride(s) and LGBTIQ+ Human Rights Struggles in Slovenia and across the world. We know that being an openly LGBTIQ+ person and walking down any public space is a political act, and we know it is not easy – so we want to create a safe(r) space for all LGBTIQ+ people and a place of empowerment.
